Prenatal Support

• 30 minute free consultation where we meet up to briefly get to know each other and see if we are a good match. I will explain my services and answer any questions you may have. There is no obligation to choose me as your doula at this time. However, if I am a good fit for you and your family, there will be more visits in the future to get to know each other better.

• One-two prenatal visits (lasting about an hour), depending on your needs. We will discuss any questions or concerns regarding labor and birth, the father's role and how I can help you achieve your ideal birth experience. These visits will include discussing your expectations, creating your birth plan, going over comfort measures and techniques, and suggesting ways your partner can be helpful and involved in the process.

• Telephone/text/email support throughout your pregnancy to discuss any questions or concerns.

• 24-hour on-call availability two weeks before and two weeks after your due date, and a backup doula in the rare event that I am unavailable.

Labor & Birth Support

• Feel free to contact me at the first onset of labor, and I will provide continuous labor support. I can meet you in your home, birth center or hospital and will remain by your side throughout the entire labor and birth.

• I will assist you in finding the comfort measures and pain coping techniques that work for you during your labor.

Postpartum Support

• Perform ANY clinical tasks: I do not perform any clinical or medical tasks, such as taking blood pressure or temperature, fetal heart tone checks, vaginal examinations or postpartum clinical care. I do not diagnose medical conditions or give any medical advice. I do offer emotional, physical and informational support.

• Make decisions for you: As your doula, I am committed to helping you make informed decisions. I can gather resources on certain topics that you would like more information about, to help you in your decision making.

• Speak to the staff on your behalf: I can suggest good questions to ask your care provider, but you or your husband will speak directly to the clinical staff.

• I will remain with you for one to two hours after the delivery of your baby or until you are comfortable and want alone time with your family.

• Help with initial breastfeeding and finding a good first latch.

• One postpartum visit- this normally takes place about a week or two after your birth, where I visit you at your home and reflect on your birth experience with you. I am also able to answer any questions you might have going forward or provide helpful resources.
